Product Developer for Texstar

Texstar is one of Sweden’s most reputable suppliers of workwear and corporate clothing for the service sector. We supply the market with high-quality garments for both men and women. Our products are currently sold through a prioritized dealer network in the Nordic region. Texstar is in an expansive phase where new product segments are launched and the market is broadened.

We are looking for a Product Developer ready to translate creative ideas into modern corporate garments and workwear. About the role

As a Product Developer at Texstar, you play a crucial role in creating our workwear and corporate clothing from start to finish. Your main task is to lead the development of new products from the initial design idea to the final product as well as maintaining existing assortment. This includes ensuring that each step in the process meets our high standards and contributes to achieving the company’s overall objectives.

Your role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively, as well as proficiency in navigating challenges and maintaining tight deadlines. Your understanding of market trends and customer needs will also be crucial in creating products that meet and exceed expectations.

You will interact daily with various key individuals within the organization, including our CPO, designers, pattern makers, logistics team, and our offices in China and Bangladesh. You will also have regular contact with our quality controllers, agents, and suppliers. You report directly to the CPO.


Overall duties and responsibilities:

  • Drive product development based on product, design, and sustainability requirements.
  • Creation of BOMs, measurement lists, material selection, and sending out tech packs in accordance with set deadlines.
  • Proactively work to ensure high-quality products.
  • Continuously keep systems and documentation updated.
  • Daily communication with suppliers, agents, and other stakeholders.
  • Contact with industry institutes and sustainability organizations.
  • Collecting and processing of documents related to certifications, testing, and sustainability.
  • Drive silo projects according to directives from the CPO.
  • Maintain the product department’s space.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a degree in textiles (college/university is a merit)
  • Has a minimum of 3 years of experience working with product development in the apparel industry (workwear is a merit)
  • Is comfortable with deadlines and a high-paced work environment
  • Has an eye for details, quality and craftsmanship (experience in pattern making is a merit).
  • Is fluent in English, both spoken and written.
