Applications, i.e., embroidery on woven patches in various designs, offer several advantages. They handle finer details better than direct embroidery and can be applied in different ways, depending on the conditions and needs. Applications are embroidered separately and then sewn onto the garment or attached with an adhesive backing that is heated or glued in place.
